As we welcome fall want to bring you all up to speed about what’s been going on with your friends at Meyer’s Olde Dutch and Kitchen Sink.

In August, Chef Brian had the great honor of being the keynote speaker at the naturalization ceremony at Beacon High School.  Approximately seventy-five people from countries around the globe took the Oath of Allegiance.  Brian spoke about the connection between heritage and food and how the dishes of the countries of our origin can unite us.
It’s hard for us to imagine what it's like to leave your place of birth, travel and settle into a new country and then go through the arduous process of becoming a US citizen.  We congratulate all our new citizens and look forward to swapping and tasting recipes!
This summer we rolled out a breakfast menu at Meyer’s Olde Dutch. You can feast on tasty treats including the classic bacon, egg and cheese or a salmon burger topped with everything cream cheese, tomato and onion.  Of course there is much more along with unlimited piping hot delicious coffee!  Right now it’s Saturdays and Sundays only from 9am until noon.  Get all the details on our website
Sadly the Meyer’s Olde Dutch and Kitchen Sink families were touched by the suicide epidemic this summer.  As a way of bringing everyone together, to raise awareness and funds for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Chef Brian and team, along with BFF Therapy put together Nourish Night.  It was an amazing evening with fabulous friends, fantastic food, and great music.  The evening included a special live auction put together by Beth Fisher. We so appreciate her amazing effort and talent and the generosity of all the local shopkeepers who gave so generously.  We have to thank our unbelievable customers who reached deep into their pockets to help us raise approximately $4000 for this cause.
Please join us at the Out of the Darkness Dutchess and Ulster Counties Walk on September 29, 2019 at the Walkway Over the Hudson.  Registration starts at 9:30 am with the walk beginning at 11:15 am on the Highland side of the Walkway.  If you can’t make it, would like to support the cause or our team you can click on or copy and paste this link to find the place to donate.
